The Facilities technical lead will be responsible for setting standard operating procedures and specifications for transformational activities as well as facilities statutory and compliance support.

Key Responsibilities:
Facilities technical lead will support the team ensuring a harmonised approach is taken across all projects, setting standards for facilities and infrastructure site requirements as well as implementing frameworks for all transformational and facilities projects.
This stabilised approach will help deliver better support to the business, reducing issues in project delivery moving the business to a uniform long term goal on aesthetic, EH&S and business requirements.
The lead will also act as a point of contact from a facilities and infrastructure standpoint across a wide range of transformational activities currently seen throughout the business. Any shared resource direct or indirect will need to be managed to ensure efficient use of labour, minimized impact to the business (downtime) and any common project opportunities are realised.
Set and maintain standards of finish across all projects to ensure a uniform business look across value streams.
Work Scope;
  • Assist in the supervision of contractors ensuring risk assessments are carried out and safe working practices are complied with at all times
  • Planning machinery, test rig, plant and equipment alterations and moves
  • Produce and maintain site layout drawings
  • Produce project plans for all major alterations and moves
  • Liaise with Senior Management and External technical specialists
  • Create Capex Documents
  • Ensure local bylaws are complied with and environmental issues are considered at all times
  • Maintain a good awareness of site building systems, gas and electrical supplies, waste, water and drainage
  • Accurately maintain logs and registers
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are complied with at all times
  • Test, cost and implement new energy saving ideas
  • Provide support for lean events in all aspects of factory planning and health & safety
  • Fire Alarm System - including the coordination of maintenance testing, breakdowns and repairs. Updating site drawings and maintenance records.
  • Fire Suppression Systems - including the coordination of maintenance testing, breakdowns and repairs. Updating site drawings and maintenance records.
  • Watermist System - including the coordination of maintenance testing, breakdowns and repairs. Updating site drawings and maintenance records.
  • Fire Extinguishers - including the coordination of maintenance testing and replacements. Updating site drawings and maintenance records.
  • Roller Shutter & Rapid Action Doors - including the coordination of maintenance testing, breakdowns and repairs. Updating site drawings and maintenance records.
  • Air Conditioning - including the coordination of maintenance testing, breakdowns and repairs. Updating site drawings and maintenance records & F-Gas.
  • Door Access & CCTV - including the coordination of maintenance testing, breakdowns and repairs. Updating site drawings and maintenance records.
  • Portable Appliance Testing - including the coordination of annual testing, breakdowns and repairs.
  • Fixed Wire Testing - shared responsibilities with yourself, including the coordination of maintenance testing, breakdowns and repairs.
  • Site Lighting & Emergency Lighting - including the coordination of maintenance testing, breakdowns and repairs. Updating site drawings and maintenance records.
  • Sprinkler Hazard Review - Annual review of our current Sprinkler system.
