Job Details
Based at our Wolverhampton site & part of a new Programme transformation project, we're recruiting an exciting Strategic Transformation Project Manager. In this role you will be accountable for the activities of the project both internally within the business as well as being the primary customer focal for this project externally. Low level profit and loss account responsibility to project activities. Project comprises one mid sized or a suite of small scale projects.
Core Role
The Strategic Transformation Project Manager role sits within the Operations and Supply Chain - Capability Council. The role will be responsible for coordinating a multi-disciplinary team for the successful execution of strategic transformational projects. The centralized team will deliver transformational projects that span multiple value streams and/or executed into Collins Global operations Sites (Bandung, Bedok, Bengaluru or Wroclaw).
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Generally individual contributor with potential for one or more support staff
- Usually indirectly responsible for one IPT covering a product of a suit of closely related products
- Responsible for all project outcomes associated with work scope covering but not limited to cost, schedule and & quality
- Customer key point of contact at working level for all items associated with project scope, conducts MFA and appropriate customer first activities to ensure customer satisfaction and acts on these accordingly
- Responsible for all programme reporting
- Responsible for P&L outcomes associated with project
- Responsible administration of all drumbeat project activities including but not limited to: Cadence Reviews, CMB, Risk Review, Project Control etc
- Responsible for programme governance including ensuring that all CMS/UPI gate reviews are completed in a timely manner
Qualifications, Development and experience
Requires degree or equivalent in related subject
Requires significant broad based experience of project based policies/processes/tools/standards across more then one phase of lifecycle
Requires PM signatories for stand alone programme - Contract Review, ECR Approval, OER/QSIR approvals etc
Key soft skills include influencing and ability to lead a cross functional team
Skills required to manage customer relationship at a working level managing perceptions and meeting commitments
Professional accreditation (APM or equivalent): PMQ
Excellent knowledge of PM processes and tools with significant experience of application
Experience technically and through practical application of project management through multiple phases of the lifecycle
