Job Details

HS Marston is currently seeking to recruit a Head of Commercial & Account Management. Reporting to the General Manager, the Head of Commercial & Account Management Team is responsible for establishing and managing the relationship with HS Marston's customers to ensure customer satisfaction, the growth of existing and new business, and the achievement of HS Marston business objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, develop capability and manage capacity of your Account Managers and Sales Administrators team
  • Develop and implement long term customer strategic plan to drive sustainable and profitable business for all customer accounts
  • Identify opportunities and lead efforts to win new business with existing or new customers
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers
  • Operate as the point of contact for all customers and ensure that their needs are communicated and understood within HS Marston
  • Accountable for managing order book and ensuring that received orders are subject to appropriate review
  • Lead efforts to assess and respond to Request for Information (RFI), and Request for Proposal (RFP) as per the Collins Management System
  • Prepare business cases and business plans for internal review and approval
  • Lead and define cost/pricing strategy
  • Forecast and track metrics to ensure customer satisfaction and the achievement of HS Marston goals
  • Conduct business/KPI reviews with customers
  • Generate OE and aftermarket sales from customers and prepare associated quotations and forecasts
  • Supervise sales proposals to customers
  • Lead negotiation of contracts and agreements
  • Lead market analysis, competitors analysis, benchmarking analysis
  • Ensure that customers receive requested products and services in a timely fashion
  • Coordinate the prompt resolution of customer issues with HS Marston and/or its products
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or program management
  • International experience in Programs, Business Development, Key Account Management and Contracts at senior level, with proven record of success in a similar role
  • Experienced negotiator at all levels
  • Experience in managing contracts/ terms and conditions
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels both internally and externally
  • Business acumen: Mature business and financial acumen to discern risks/opportunities of key strategic programs
  • Experience of the Aerospace and Defence sectors is desirable
  • Solid personal network within Aerospace is desirable
  • Self-motivated, willing to take ownership, develop and learn
  • Flexibility to travel as required
