We are currently on the lookout for a Engineering Manager to join the team in Leighton Buzzard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for all Engineering deliverables of the IPT
  • Manage the interaction with the functional teams.
  • Ensuring the compliance to all requirements
  • Optimization of cost in design using Earned Value
  • Manage Technical interface, communication and escalation to the customer (version engineer) in support of the EPL including CDCM/PDR/CDR/FAI
  • Technical risk evaluation, management, mitigation and closure of escalations.
  • DDP delivery.
  • Manage closure of all Engineering work (including Production Permits, NCRs, JCRs, ECNs & EDES) etc.
  • Ensure that all relevant stakeholders are involved and consulted in the project.
  • Work to resolve issues preventing progression of design, certification, build, delivery and installation are resolved at the IPT level within the IPT in a timely manner.
  • Ensure quality of work and implementation of lessons learn.
  • Management of Earned Value CPI, for Engineering hours & resource
  • In addition to the Generic Responsibilities described above the Engineering Senior Leadership team may assign specific responsibilities that will support the wider business.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline
  • Demonstrable technical and operational experience in the Aerospace, Automotive or Rail industry
  • Proven Project management and planning skills including resource management.
  • Proven leadership abilities with strong technical, team and risk management skills
  • Ability to manage and motivate an engineering department
  • Ability to communicate and build effective relationships with customers and internal departments
  • Proven experience of change management in an engineering organization
