Job Details

The successful candidate can expect to:
  • Be responsible for the daily testing and verification of all products through the Production department at WASP in a manner that conforms to company's policies and procedures, Health & Safety, and Environmental legislation to ensure all company targets are met.
  • Provide support to the Testing Supervisor in the management of the daily planning and to deputise for them in all meetings where testing input if required.
  • Provide testing support to all production activities of new and existing WASP products within agreed timescales and priorities.
  • Provide technical support to the production teams and trouble shoot any technical / testing issues.
  • Interface with all WASP departments to ensure the smooth delivery of all new and existing products throughout the products life cycle.
Key responsibilities
  • Testing of product to predefined test procedures (ATP's).
  • Programming of PCB assemblies with software and verifying it for use.
  • Performing / setting up of electrical soak testing on all products that have a requirement to do so.
  • Verification of brought in Programmed PCB assemblies to ensure that the pre-loaded software is at the correct revision.
  • Assist with the developments of new and or existing test equipment.
  • Proof reading both accepted test procedures (ATP) and production test procedures (PATP) prior to release by engineering to production.
  • Verifying test equipment and set ups prior to the release to production.
  • Communicate any problems or obstacles to the Testing Supervisor and or the Production Manager that may occur in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with all departments to ensure all production parts are delivered to Final Inspection in adherence to the production schedules.
  • Provide the support as required to other production areas to enable the effective and efficient delivery of customer products.
  • Identify, Introduce and maintain appropriate Lean Manufacturing techniques where appropriate.
  • Perform any other duties deemed acceptable by the Test Supervisor and or the Production Manager.
What you need to succeed?
Essentia
  • Several years' experience in manufacturing / testing operations.
  • 5 GSCE [level A - C] Inc. Maths and English or equivalent.
  • I.T literate to an adequate level in the use of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • City and Guilds or HNC in Electronics.
  • Experience in an Electronics Environment.
