Hays are working in Partnership with a National Manufacturing company, who are hiring for a new IT Technical Governance role. This role sits within the IT Security team and will give the right candidate the opportunity to develop technical aspects of Cyber Security within the company. A mostly remote working pattern, with occasional travel to the Birmingham office.

Your Purpose
You will be responsible for assuring the safety of corporate data through the implementation of security architecture, standards and technology to manage security threats. You will proactively work with the company to implement practices that meet policies and standards for cyber security.

• Work with the Security team in the technical analysis of security / vulnerability reports
• Plan vulnerability mitigation actions and work with the Technical team on implementation
• Work with the Technical team to define infrastructure software and hardware end of life replacement timelines
• Perform scheduled IT governance / audit tasks, liaising with third parties where required

Your experience

• Extensive experience in technical support with some experience at 3rd Line level
• Understanding of security reports and how they apply to the organisation
• Technical experience using systems such as - Microsoft, Linex and SQL
• Previous Cyber Security experience is desirable but not essential
