Your new company

Hays Cyber are currently on the lookout for an established Security Architect with experience producing High Level Designs (HLD), Low Level Designs (LLD) across a variety of programmes of security work. This role is to work with a vital piece of infrastructure based in West Yorkshire.

The role has a relaxed hybrid approach, requiring on-site attendance occasionally for workshops, design processes and vendor presentations. Our critical infrastructure client is looking to enhance its current security infrastructure, and is looking for security architects to help implement industry best practice and develop a longer-term roadmap.

Your new role will involve:
  • Creating High- and Low-Level Designs to enhance the current and future organisational security of this critical infrastructure client
  • Supporting the Security Architecture Lead
  • Providing security architectural support across a variety of complex security projects at various stages of implementation, e.g. the Security Operations Centre (SOC), Security Information Event Management (SIEM), Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Privileged Access Management (PAM).
  • Implementing security infrastructure solutions
  • Liaising with external and internal stakeholders and ensuring a security and risk focused culture is fostered across the business
  • Acting as an SME across security, governance, risk and compliance, overseeing various technical and non-technical works and ensuring that security is adhered to in line with architectural roadmaps, industry best practice and current organisational risk posture and strategies.
  • Gathering requirements and implementing strategies based on your findings

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience as a security architect is essential, public sector or critical infrastructure experience would be beneficial
  • Experience implementing security solutions in an architectural capacity, such as SOC/SIEM Implementations, PAM, EDR, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Network Security, Firewalls etc
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience in Security Architecture, preferably within large, complex organisations
  • Any relevant industry certifications: BCS, TOGAF, CISSP or similar.
