Senior Manager - IT Controls (12-month FTC)

This is a great job for someone who has a strong understanding of IT and security functional areas and has an understanding of the OCRM Framework.

A bit about the job:
As a senior Manager of IT Controls, you will be accountable for the management of Audit, Risk, and controls on behalf of AI CIO. In your role your key responsibilities will be to:

• Co-ordinate and facilitate the embedding of ORCM disciplines into AI CIO
• Drive risk and control management capabilities within Global AI CIO
• Drive Global AI CIO Leadership accountability for Risk and Control Management, bring independent challenge to the team
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders to ensure that Govern that IT risks are managed in line with risk appetite, strategy, and objectives
• Co-ordinate on behalf of Global AI CIO audit actions and resolutions
• Accountable for a holistic view on risk and provision of advice on greatest areas of risk exposure
• Influencing, managing expectations & negotiating "balanced" consistent Risk solutions that are appropriate both for a business unit & a wider Group as a whole
• Work closely with CIO Governance tea, UKD 2nd line and IAI Leads to support the Group-wide risk agenda

Skills and experience we're looking for:
• Good industry knowledge, technical specialist on operational risk, ideally in financial services
• Thorough understanding of Aviva's IT and Business Protection Business Standards
• Excellent interpersonal skills - succinct, clear communicator, ability to bring difficult risk management concepts to life
• Excellent influencing style with senior management as well as all levels within the business.
• Approachable style, must possess integrity, strong corporate governance ethics, ability to maintain objectivity and independence
