This role is with an established public sector organisation, located in Scotland. This organisation is looking for an experienced Security Engineer to start as soon as possible. This role is a 3-month contract, with a daily rate of up to £550 per day, outside IR35. The role will be hybrid working, with the requirement to come into office once a week.

Your new role
The successful security engineer will have the opportunity to work with a large public sector body that has recently completed a migration to the Cloud. You will be responsible for maintaining the firewall and Cloud services, update Windows servers in Cloud, complete regular checks in Palo Alto and check dashboards on a day-to-day basis.

What you'll need to succeed
Key responsibilities:
  • Design, implement and maintain security infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
  • Configure and manage firewall and VPN solutions on Palo Alto and Cisco routers
  • Implement security best practices for API and Google services
  • Monitor security events and respond to security incidents
Skills:
  • Google Cloud Platform
  • Palo Alto firewall and Cisco router security
  • Understanding of Google Cloud, Windows, Azure and AWS
  • Good knowledge of cyber security
