I'm currently looking for an Information Security Manager with some line management experience and an information security background.
This role is to work with a vital piece of infrastructure based in West Yorkshire who are constantly evolving in line with a tumultuous threat landscape.
The successful candidate will need to be able to obtain SC clearance, a prerequisite of which among other conditions, is that they will need to have worked in the UK for the past 5 years continuously.

Your new role
- Line management of a small team of information security analysts - general management responsibilities
- Providing input into ongoing change programme
- Setting up, maintaining, and reviewing appropriate security controls and risk mitigation strategies
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders during information security incidents
- Maintaining a contemporary knowledge of current threats and cyber trends
- Taking ownership of elements of the security strategy, suggesting improvements
- Overseeing elements of ongoing change programme from a security perspective
- Overseeing areas of security operations from a managerial perspective e.g. reviewing penetration test outputs and aligning analysts to action
- Liaising with project teams and overseeing projects from a security perspective, ensuring that industry best practice and appropriate GRC controls are in place from conception to implementation across a variety of projects within the ongoing organisational transformation
What you'll need to succeed
- An information security background
- Line management of experience (team size not too relevant)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management ability
- Demonstrable experience leading security initiatives
- Evidence of continued professional development (relevant industry accreditations and certifications)
