The team is based in our Hoxton office in London and there is a requirement for some occasional travel to other business centres.

A bit about the job:

You will be part of a legal team focussed on providing advice to the Aviva Group on a variety of privacy related matters, including:
  • All aspects of the UK General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act 2018, such as Data Protection Impact Assessments, data processing and sharing agreements, international data transfers and drafting privacy policies
  • Marketing, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, AdTech and cookies
  • Digital matters, such as supporting on the implementation of new technologies, improvements and changes to digital customer journeys and experiences and drafting and advising on documentation, e.g., terms of use


Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • A solicitor or barrister entitled to practice in the UK with some PQE experience
  • A working knowledge of data protection, digital related and data technology related law
  • Experience at a leading law firm and/or in–house, ideally in the insurance, technology, digital, FinTech or financial services industry
  • Proven ability to work with people at different levels and from different backgrounds with strong communication skills
  • Top class academics with a passion for data protection and innovative technology
