LEGAL COUNSEL – DATA PROTECTION & COMMERCIAL LAW (SPORTS SECTOR)LONDON, ENGLANDPART TIME ROLE (3 DAYS A WEEK)GBP70,000 FULL TIME EQUIVALENT + BONUS + BENEFITS + HYBRID ROLERole OverviewMorgan Philips Specialist Recruitment are currently representing an independent body established by the international governing bodies of a global sporting business.They are looking for a suitable candidate to focus upon data protection and contracts work on a part time basis. The role will be reporting to the Senior Director and you will play a very important role within the Legal team alongside supporting the Head of Business services.Key Accountabilities:

  • Managing data share schemes with an array of third parties across multiple sporting bodies
  • Working with other international sports bodies to law enforcements
  • Drafting and negotiating service provider and consultancy agreements with third parties
  • Working with and managing external counsel
  • Supporting the DPO in relation to regulatory requirements and data protection strategy.
  • Supporting on corporate governance

The successful candidate will have:

  • Solicitor qualified/admitted to practice in England & Wales
  • 3 PQE + in contract law, EU data protection law
  • Data transfer knowledge
  • Experience in legal documentation
  • Technically strong lawyer
