Prospectus is pleased to be working with a homelessness charity based in Newham, whose mission is to provide support to people who find themselves sleeping rough in East London by providing a safe and welcoming place to stay, and offering support through the provision of personalised support, educational and life skills opportunities. They are now seeking an IT and Data Protection Manager who will lead IT–related services, activities and data protection compliance. The post–holder will also develop policies and procedures in these areas. Please note this is a full–time permanent post, offered on a hybrid (2–3 days in the office) basis. The IT and Data Protection Manager will manage and coordinate all IT related matters including data, wireless communications, mobile technology, telephony, security, and computer hardware and software. You will Liaise with all Managers on tasks and projects related to Data Protection compliance. Maintain accurate records of data collected, stored, processed and shared by 'Information and Processing Audit' database. Another key part of the role is being responsible for monitoring workflow and managing performance, ensuring that work meets agreed objectives, targets and deadlines. To be considered for this role you must have hands–on experience with computers and networks, cloud–based systems and network installation. The right candidate will possess a good knowledge of information security, UK GDPR and other related legislation as well as a track record of pushing ahead with projects and completing the task at hand.
