Our GXP® Geospatial Solutions business is growing and we are looking for a Sales Solution Engineer to join the team. If you are passionate about working with cutting-edge technology and are looking for your next career move in the Geospatial Solutions domain, then read on.

You will most likely have experience in a military role perhaps as an Intelligence analyst, specialising in imagery, video, all source or open source, within national security or perhaps NATO and be ready for a role that offers international travel and the opportunity to work on BAE Systems' GXP® software solution.

Delivering an unrivalled capacity for discovery, exploitation, and dissemination of mission-critical geospatial data. From key military, security, and incident response operations, to a variety of commercial development and research initiatives, GXP® software provides a comprehensive suite of solutions enabling timely and effective decision-making.

What you could be doing for us:

As a Sales Solution Engineer you will get to work on complex and rigorous solution engineering, to ensure that solutions developed using GXP/AGS products are fit-for-purpose and deliver in accordance with the customer requirements.

This exciting role requires a broad combination of skills and experience, combining technical skills and domain experience (in geospatial) with confident stakeholder engagement and business development.

Sales Solution Engineers work across pre-sales and post-sales phases of a customer engagement from initial requirements gathering and systems scoping all the way through to final system commissioning and ongoing technical support and maintenance.

This role is hybrid and can be based out of Guildford, London or Gloucester with a flexible approach to days in the office, but you will need to be UK based. You will either have current SC Clearance or be happy to undergo SC clearance.

What background are we looking for?

  • Our ideal candidate is likely to have experience in a military role, perhaps as an Intelligence analyst, specialising in imagery, video, all source or open source, within national security or perhaps NATO and be looking for their next career move.
  • You may be leaving the forces and looking for your first civilian role or already have left and be looking for a move into a fast growing business that offering the opportunity to work on cutting edge Geospatial tech such as BAE Systems' GXP® software solution.
  • You will keen to work with customers across Europe and the US and be excited to travel internationally as required.
  • You will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of geospatial, imagery or remote sensing domains
  • Understanding of high stakes, internal & external stakeholders, complex and possibly classified IT environments, different time zones and cultures.
  • Strategic and analytical skills and the ability to understand, inspire and activate others is a must
  • Well-developed communication skills able to influence a variety of stakeholders across different countries and present confidently to a variety of audiences, such as end-users, analysts, academics and senior leadership.
