We are looking for an IT Supplier Manager to join our small and friendly team and collaborate with our UK Life outsourced supply partners to ensure that relationships align with expectations through effective oversight, to meet our business standards and controls.

A bit about the job:
Working independently, you'll be responsible for managing run service and overviewing IT change delivery with one of our primary outsourced service provider's technology provisions. Additionally, you'll get to manage several smaller contracts end to end, actively seeking opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement to enhance process. You'll be working with a range of stakeholders in Operations, IT and the wider Aviva business to support good customer outcomes.

You'll get a range of support from peer colleagues, working together in a robust governance framework. Understanding and assuring clear accountabilities will be key from Day 1, enabling you to deliver effective oversight of a range of outsourced service providers.

Aviva uses "smart-working", and the person in this role can be based within, Bristol or Norwich.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Experience in IT supplier management to ITIL 4 standards.
  • Excellent relationship management skills to drive the right outcomes and value from major IT supplier partnerships for Aviva.
  • Ability to effectively influence and collaborate with key partners and collaborators, managing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Skilled at understanding technical and business information and communicating it appropriately to a non-technical audience.
  • Problem/dispute management skills to ensure any obstacles to performance are resolved.
