One of our clients is recruiting a Cyber Security Specilialist to provide expert up–to–date technical and business knowledge on Cyber and Information security. It will also including ongoing maintenance, enhancements and improvements to ensure that the computing infrastructure provided to the firm is effective, reliable, secure and performant.

About you:

  • Ideally an IT graduate with experience working in a security role with a good knowledge of the following:
  • Recognised technical security certification (SSCP/CISSP/CCSP/OSCP) would be extremely advantageous.
  • Network experience including new technologies such as SDWAN as well as data networking protocols (including but not limited to TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
  • Good understanding of network routing protocols including; OSPF, BGP, HSRP, Spanning Tree etc.
  • Knowledge and experience of working within recognised industry frameworks (e.g ISO 27001/NIST/Cyber Essentials)

You'll need extensive knowledge of:

    • Firewall implementation and configuration and vendor technologies e.g. Cisco, CheckPoint.
    • Web Application Firewalls
    • Secure development practices and potential threats (OWASP)
    • Identity and Access Management principles and best practices
    • Endpoint Security
    • Next Generation security tools and solutions.
    • Antivirus, Malware, threat hunting technologies.
    • SIEM platforms and logging/monitoring best practices.
    • Network infrastructure and technologies.
    • Network segmentation.
    • Azure/M365 security.
