Security Analyst needed on a remote basis for a very exciting international client of mine. They are looking to add a Security analyst to their SoC team to help evaluate threats and formulate responses, handle complex security incidents and drive improvements to their EDR solutions.

Job Specifications:

Working within the Security Operations Centre your tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Handling complex security incidents and events within the global IT network;

• Supporting colleagues within the SoC team to evaluate threats and formulate responses;

• Helping to develop procedures/playbooks and ensuring their proper execution;

• Driving improvements to our EDR solutions and helping to develop our XDR strategies;

• Working with our external MDR provider on incidents and forensics;

• Utilising various security tools to continually improve the security posture of the company;

• Supporting detection and remediation research.

Your skill set:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience of working in a security role within a large organisation;

• Experience of working with an EDR solution;

• Sound understanding and experience of network infrastructure and client/server device technologies;

• A structured and logical approach to problem solving;

• Proven track record of working with integrity, being adaptable and always looking to learn;

• Awareness of security trends and a desire to actively keep up to date with developments;

• Ideally educated to degree standard in Computer Science or related subject;

• Excellent communication skills.
