Non Functional Test Manager - Salary starting from £45,000.
We have an opportunity for a Performance Test Manager to join the Release, Test & Environments team. We have a multi-site team working in a range of roles/assignments, across projects, platforms, or features.

A bit about the job:
This assignment will be within the Guidewire Release and Rest team, working on our strategic Guidewire platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the performance of complex IT systems, design tests for proving performance, reliability and resilience, debug performance or design issues and provide recommendations.

Aviva is increasingly leveraging the cloud for applications and services which needs to be made secure via multiple toolsets and technologies. This will support Aviva in achieving its business objectives via mitigation of any incidents or risks through the adoption of industry standard methodology via policy, effective risk management, assurance, and training.

This also includes working with an aligned Platform Test Manager helping to suggest and drive innovations within Guidewire and the wider Release, Test and Environments team.

Aviva uses "smart-working", and the person in this role will be based within Perth.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Excellent Understanding of Performance test methodologies, techniques and tools and Industry experience in delivering performance test services to Large complex IT platforms.
  • Experience in using Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools such as Appdynamics, Splunk, Cloud watch etc.
  • Experience in working with AWS, Azure Cloud and On-premises platforms.
  • Experience in using performance test tools such as Loadrunner and Jmeter, scripting experience in one or more of the following Python, Powershell etc.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
