About the company:
We are recruiting a Trainer/ Assessor in IT/Cyber to join a highly regarded College Apprenticeship Team as a Cyber Specialist.  
 
About the role:
In this exciting position as the Trainer/Assessor, you will be an expert in Cyber Security, working collaboratively with colleagues in our digital apprenticeship team and share in the delivery of the curriculum in college to a range of apprentices in your areas of expertise. The role allows you to learn new and emerging technologies to share with the team and apprentices.

 Responsibilities: 

  • Motivate, inspire and lead apprentices and learners in the achievement of their qualifications on time and to a high standard 
  • Take responsibility for assisting current members of staff with the Institute of Technology partners and the cyber security centre
  • Create effective and stimulating programmes for apprentices through high qualitytraining,learning and assessment that enables their development and progression
  • Manage and administer all training, assessment and quality procedures
  • Support, train and guide apprentices and learners to develop their personal andProfessional attitudes, skills and abilities to have a positive impact on their employment.


Requirements:

  • A technical background gained within Cyber Security, or experience working in a cyber security setting 
  • A firm appreciation of Cyber Security elements, e.g. Cryptography, Information Security and Systems, Information Management, Security Case Studies. 
  • Experience of designing and delivering computer networks in a commercial or public sector environment 
  • A good knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems
  • A Degree or other Higher Qualification in Computer Science, Computing, Software Development, Cyber security, Computer forensics or significant industry experience
  • Willingness to undertake Equality and Diversity training and Safeguarding training
  • Experience in planning, controlling, implementing and delivering Apprenticeship and other professional student programmes in IT up to and including level 6 is a plus.
