Hays are working in partnership with a leading specialist mortgage lender, who are looking for an SOC Analyst to join their Information Security Operations team.
Hybrid working with 3 days a week in the Wolverhampton office. Paying up to £60,000.

Your Purpose
To be a key member of the Information Security Operations team. Focussing on core areas such as security operations, cyber threat analysis, working with third party cyber security partners, acting as a point of escalation.

• Manage day to day security operations and security events as they occur, responding to alerts from systems including SEIM solutions, EDR / MDR and Vulnerability Management services.
• Be responsible for the planning and co-ordination of cyber incident response activities during the initial response analysis, containment and recovery phases of a cyber incident.
• Provide a point of escalation from level one security operations teams, taking ownership of critical security events, leading on action plans / remediation actions, and ensuring appropriate follow up / lessons learnt is adopted.
• Assist in the development and implementation of operational process improvements and efficiencies as defined by the agreed service improvement plans.

Your Experience:

• Experience working in a Security Operations / Security Engineering role (preferably within Financial Services) and handling critical security events, high profile security escalations, and exposure to cyber security threats events.
• Experience in the operation and management of SIEM tools and Vulnerability Management tools and remediation planning.
• Previous experience in creating / reviewing Security Operational Processes and developing and delivering security awareness training content.
• Basic skills in respect of managing remediation plans with IT stakeholders and IT functions.
