Business Development Manager – Cyber Security

This is an opportunity for an experienced Business Developement Manager with a background in Cyber sales to join a global electronics organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing, growing and winning Cybersecurity business on a Regional basis across EMEA
  • Lead the sales launch into EMEA Operating companies of new Cybersecurity solutions and services, including the Cybersecurity Digital Factory, Marketing, Learning and Development and any relevant vendor and/or partner.
  • Act as the Sales lead single point of contact and subject matter expert for Operating Company Sales Management and Sales teams
  • Develop and lead opportunity identification through to sales close with a designated list of International accounts, working with a Matrix team including people from sales, service and delivery.
  • Accountable for the Cybersecurity sales forecast and delivery against EMEA budget
  • Proactively work locally with key Operating company stakeholders to build plans to develop and grow their Cybersecurity business locally within their Country. This adapted and based upon their level of maturity and capability to execute.
  • Work and provide sales support and enablement (in conjunction with L&D and Marketing) to the Sales Management and Sales teams locally in Country.
  • Produce and commit to a reliable Sales Forecast
  • Promote the Cybersecurity portfolio and be the lead expert and evangelist for Cybersecurity within the wider IT Services EMEA team.
  • Coordinate with local teams and support on multi–country tender responses
  • Work with Pre–sales, Operations, Business support, Finance, HR and IT where appropriate, to make sure appropriate Cybersecurity solutions are designed and priced
  • Prepare solution business cases for approval by senior management.
  • Prepare and present high quality client proposals in order to develop new business in line with the Company sales strategy
  • Close and win new contracts to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Indirectly Manage a virtual team of local sales account managers, Pre–sales, Operations, Business support, Finance, HR and IT and implementation resources as appropriate
  • Work pro–actively with other EMEA specialist sales teams in order to cross–sell and support to drive new opportunities (eg Communication Services, Business Process Services, Service Advantage sales teams)

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of successfully working in selling Cybersecurity solutions and services across EMEA (ideally across multiple countries across EMEA locally and on international multiple country deals)
  • Proven experience of successfully working in a targeted environment in an international context at major IT Services reseller or service provider within the Cybersecurity space
  • Proven track record of having hunted and closed large deals across Mid–market and corporate/enterprise customers
  • Excellent understanding and proven experience of designing and selling Cybersecurity solutions to mid market and corporate customers
  • C–level network ownership
  • Ability to introduce a value Proposition at C–level
  • Experience of managing long sales cycles in large accounts
  • Good Knowledge and understanding of accountancy principles and annual reports in order to analyse business performance
  • Excellent Negotiation and influencing skills up to C level
  • Excellent Knowledge of Cybersecurity and wide base of knowledge across IT infrastructure & Cloud services
  • Excellent presentation skills – able to communicate at all levels using a variety of means
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent knowledge and understand of commercial, financial and contractual relationships with customers
  • Excellent communicator
  • Able to work within a project team; fostering a good team work ethos
  • Understanding of the European Acquired Rights Directive and the implications on IT Services contracts.
  • This role requires knowledge and skills that are both broad and deep. To be effective the must have experience on multiple Hardware and Software Environments and be comfortable with complex heterogeneous systems environments. The person needs an outstanding ability to share and communicate ideas verbally, both orally and in writing, to executive/C–level staff, business sponsors, and technical resources in clear concise language.
  • Expert in many categories, hands–on experience in multiple industries and across several disciplines.
  • Excellent level of English in a professional environment.
  • Additional European languages.
