Job Description Summary

In the Chief Security Office (CSO), we have a vital role in Helping Britain Prosper. We do that by protecting our customers, their data and their money from security threats, and by helping our businesses to make change safely and quickly.

We are seeking a talented individual to lead the Chief Security Office team that build and operate solutions that help ensure the proper configuration of our diverse cloud environments across the group. In this role, you will have opportunity to utilise your technical expertise and leadership skills to manage a team of skilled professionals.

We have started an exciting journey of changing our ways of working, adapting to the challenges and opportunities of the technology shift to the Cloud and engineering practices like DevOps. There are real opportunities in this role to be part of shaping that future, and to build the teams skills, technology and practices.

There are different ways to do the role, and we encourage applications from people with diverse experiences, skills and backgrounds. We also support agile working arrangements and are open to discussion about location, hours, and other flexible working.

What Youll Do

Youll lead a small team with Cloud engineering and security skills to build and operate the IT solutions to assure the configuration of a multi–Cloud environment. Your team and your solutions will enable the Chief Security Office to provide security assurance of our Public Cloud environment to the Groups engineers, IT and business management, and to key senior decision makers across the Group. This is a vital part of CSOs role to help our organisation deliver on our strategy at pace, safely.

Youll be part of a broader Enterprise Vulnerability Management team, working among people skilled in scanning, pen testing, data analytics and driving security improvements with other teams. Youll be part of defining and implementing on the strategic direction of the function and shaping its products services in a changing organisation.

  • Has experience with the design, development, or support of systems in a public or private cloud environment (Azure or GCP preferred)
  • Has experience with agile working practices and using collaboration platforms such as Atlassian Jira and GitHub

Salary 85,000– 106,000 – Please note this is a London salary. Salaries will differ based on hub locations.
