As an Identity and Access Management Specialist, you'll play a crucial part in the successful delivery of a unified zero trust, central Identity and Access capability to support the secure access to and protection of the organisations applications and data by staff and partners/suppliers. You will be a subject matter and technical expert in the delivery and development of the central Identity and Access Management service.

Experience

  • Practical experience working as an Identity and Access Management specialist.
  • Experience of delivering and maintaining Identity and Access Management solutions
  • Hands–on experience working as an Identity and Access Management within a medium or large organisation.
  • Extensive experience of delivering and maintaining Identity and Trust Management solutions within medium or large organisations.
  • Experience utilising Agile or iterative project techniques and methodologies.
  • Experience of engaging with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders and senior managers, from within ICT, departments and externally, including other organisations and suppliers
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering services that meet business needs and are delivered in accordance with agreed business requirements, and managing the full–service life cycle.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of a broad range of current and emerging ICT technologies and business processes, delivery models, principles and practice.
  • Understanding of the compliance and governance requirements in ID management.
  • An understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management practices, cybersecurity frameworks (eg NIST), and best–practice approaches for the management and delivery of cybersecurity and identity functions.
  • Good understanding of networking technologies and emerging trends in networking.
  • Knowledge of IT product management and the development life cycle.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead others and persuasively communicate complex technical information effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders, including those without a technical background.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to track and predict IT technology trends.
  • Strong business acumen and a good understanding of general business processes and practises.
  • Able to create a collaborative working environment, encouraging and enabling all team members to contribute and deliver to their full potential.

  • A team player who can balance need, risk and pragmatism when developing solutions. Good organisational, planning and risk management skills, with the ability to bring discussions to a decision–making end; a proven capacity for creative problem–solving and troubleshooting.
  • Identifying the work required and either organising, facilitating or performing the work. Able to work autonomously with minimal management supervision, exercising judgement on when to refer issues to higher management.
  • Able to design system and solution architectures through the application of patterns and principles, to meet user needs while managing risks.
  • Able to make and guide effective decisions on risk, explaining clearly how the decision has been reached. You can make decisions proportionate to the level of technical complexity and risk.
  • You can understand and apply a range of user research methods correctly. You can choose appropriate methods for different phases of a product life cycle and situation
  • You can to interpret and apply understanding of policy and process, business architecture, and legal and political implications in order to assist the development of technical solutions or controls.
