An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join an industry leading organisation as an IT Security Manager where you'll be reporting to the Head of Information Security and Enterprise Architecture.

This role will primarily be working within the information security policy and regulations team. The main focus of the team is making decisions around the operational executive of the policy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and deploying the security architecture and second line of defence processes with the aim of mitigating information security risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of the external developments, law & regulations, to support the information security policy. Assess what procedures are needed and how information processes should be adjusted to make the information security policy operational. Responsible for the development and maintenance of the security architecture. Oversee the Outsourced ‘Second Line of Defence monitoring of security data in order to ensure that threats, including those not identified from any one service, are identified. Manage IT Security incidents using with IT Partner resources. Analyse the outcomes of the assessments and involve stakeholders to understand the causes and impact of Enterprise vulnerabilities. Review, assess and identify weaknesses in the information processes (IT and users) that can cause security incidents. Ensure that all users are aware of adjusted processes and security measures.

Requirements

  • A pro-active dynamic, visible leader who can simplify the complexities of information security and information management to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and delivery partners. Experience of developing and executing information security strategies, processes and services which conform to good practice. Excellent understanding of cyber and information management risk relevant to a large-scale complex organisation. Knowledge of information security, ITIL, cyber intelligence and related regulations. Strong understanding of Security architecture best practices and hands on experience managing or guiding development and implementation of them. Knowledge of security technologies, tooling and trends. Working knowledge/experience of network systems, workstation, cloud and other security principles and applications. Fundamental understanding of defence in depth strategies. Detailed knowledge of managing security in a multi-sourced environment.
