About the role

The division of Information Security and Identity and Access Management (IS and IDAM) is accountable for the cyber security operations across all areas of the University and its international centres. You will possess extensive experience of designing technical and other security controls to address security risks as part of an overall solution architecture. You will have experience of designing and implementing security controls within a predominantly cloud-based environment.

You'll also have:

  • Experience assuring outputs from either strategic change projects or third parties against architectural designs and ensuring adherence to policies, standards and practices.
  • Experience of managing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders within a large and complex organisation.
  • Extensive knowledge of the methods, techniques and technologies needed to implement secure and robust information architecture.
  • Demonstrable experience with designing and implementing protective security measures to detect and respond to any cyber-attacks.
  • Solid understanding of the threat horizon to assess both existing and emerging threats to assets.
  • Ability to apply methods and techniques for assessing security risks related to information, systems and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of the security threats and vulnerabilities that impact or emanate from system hardware, software and other infrastructure components and how best to mitigate, detect and resolve these issues.
