This is a rare opportunity to join an organisation who truly do their bit for the UK. The organisation is at the forefront of technology and science for the Defence industry. The company offers flexible working, with the possibility to work a 4-day week, and some other great benefits. The company is neurodivergent friendly and have a number of support groups in place and are more than happy to make any adjustments to the interview process to make it more accessible. It really is an enjoyable place to work, with a supportive and friendly environment, whilst performing work and duties that cannot be performed at other organisations.

Your new role

This is a rare scenario where I can't tell you what you will be doing. The client is looking for someone with a Cyber Engineer or strong Systems Engineer background, with the right 'can do' attitude and a strong technical knowledge. The role requires a minimum of UK Security Clearance, with you needing to be willing to go through the DV process also. You will be working on top-secret projects that you can not work on anywhere else. This truly is a different kind of role, that you cannot do elsewhere.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll need a strong experience in Cyber Engineering, or Systems Engineering with some exposure to Cyber. You will also need the following:

  • Eligibility for UK DV Clearance. You must have lived in the UK for at least 10 years and NOT be a dual citizen.
  • 4-5 years' experience in a similar technical engineering role
  • Ability to get to their site regularly in Salisbury.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge across Cyber and Systems Engineering
  • The right 'can-do' and inquisitive attitude. You will need to be a strong team player with strong communication skills.

What you'll get in return

Starting salary for this role is just under the £50K mark, with some great added benefits such as 26-30% pension contribution from the employer, 25 days annual leave + BH, professional institute memberships and more. You are also able to work your 37 hours week split across 4 or 5 days, meaning you could have a 3-day weekend every week. You are also able to bank any extra hours worked and take as time off at other times in the year. The salary is a starting salary and comes with clear increments and expectations on how to reach the next salary banding.
