Cybersecurity Engineer Needed!

My client is seeking a talented Cybersecurity Engineer to join their growing team. As the Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a key role in creating efficient application and infrastructure security systems while supporting cybersecurity management. Your responsibilities will include securing various infrastructure components, cloud environments, public websites, and related systems.

Your responsibilities:
  • Operate and manage application and infrastructure security systems.
  • Support the company`s business objectives by securing infrastructure components.
  • Maintain and provide guidance on technical Cybersecurity defense and operations.
  • Perform incident handling tasks and document incidents.
  • Provide advice on security hardening to the IT organization.
  • Conduct daily technical cybersecurity operations and recommend improvements.
What we`re looking for:
  • Minimum of 8 years of IT infrastructure experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Server, Azure, and Office 365.
  • Hands-on experience with network security, endpoint security, and associated hardware.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning, firewalls, WAN, LAN, Wireless (preferably Cisco), and other security solutions.
  • Strong understanding of RBAC, OWASP, Layered Defense, and Defense in Depth.
  • Experience with ethical hacking, intrusion detection/prevention technologies, and threat modeling.
  • Knowledge of IT frameworks such as ITIL 3.0.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
Location: Remote role based in the United Kingdom, preferably in the Manchester area.
