We are seeking to appoint an experienced Head of Data Protection / Data Protection Officer who will lead across departmental boundaries to provide assurance over compliance with the University's legal, regulatory and compliance obligations. Your new role as the Head of Data Protection / Data Protection Officer: As the Head of Data Protection / Data Protection Officer you will hold professional accountability for the University's approach to data protection and will ensure compliance with respective data protection laws and regulations. You will manage and develop a team of specialists and provide oversight of Data Protection, Records Management, Freedom of Information and e–privacy regulation arrangements. These will shape the strategy, planning, policies, processes and improvement initiative of the University in respect to these areas. The Experience & Qualifications Required: Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or experience, with extensive knowledge and application of the relevant data protection legislation, information security standards and ICO guidance.
