Due to the sensitive nature of this role you may be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels). An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

Contract Management is a fantastic area to work in. This is a broad role that has great variation, you'll get to work with brilliant customers, you could be driving growth through helping to negotiate our next big deals and working with all our business areas to deliver for the customer. You'll manage a contract or a pillar within a large & complex contract and be accountable for managing our P&L for your contract area, you'll do this through delivering on BT's contract obligations, managing risk and controlling cost, seeking the best outcome for BT and the customer.

As a Contract Manager, you will be:
  • Be a customer champion, dealing with high level customers face to face on all contractual matters
  • You will own P&L for dedicated mid-size complex contracts or pillars within very complex contracts
  • Be responsible for risk and obligation management for parameter of the contract and ensure compliance to BT governance
  • As a solution focused achiever, you will ensure the resolution of key high-risk contractual issues and that prior to contract signing, ensuring that proposed contractual obligations are achievable
  • You will be a collaborative partner, ensuring contracts are effectively using the business units contract delivery services to manage low-level contractual activities for them
  • Be accountable for growth on existing contracts through change control, whilst able to identify new sales opportunities to pursue with the relevant teams
As a Contract Manager, you will have:
  • Have significant experience in managing complex and non-standard contracts and accounts and able to build strong cross -functional relationships
  • Demonstrate excellent communications skills and a style that can influence key stakeholders and encourage correct process, with an affinity for problem solving
  • Be an expert in data analysis with an ability to use robust data to support decision making, while proactively monitoring trends to gain insight and shape processes
  • Have a willingness to challenge and do the right thing where required e.g. a skill resolving contractual challenges and disputes
  • Possess expert resource and demand management skills and experience
You may have:
  • Have demonstrated experience of leading and supporting teams with a diverse range of functions
  • Have experience of working with UK Government
  • Have coaching and mentoring skills, and be able to provide informal ongoing mentoring to junior team members with an ability to review and manage team performance
