Within this role, you will be responsible for contributing to the design and deployment of new bespoke systems as well as supporting and maintaining existing ones. You should also contribute to innovation and development of new products, and process improvement initiatives. This role will require working as part of a team, supporting colleagues and collaboration with customers.

Due to the sensitive nature of this role you may be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels). An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role

You'll have the following responsibilities

• Resolving incidents and service requests in line with SLAs to enable continued system operation
• Identifying and communicating opportunities that assist with setting technical direction, with respect to best practice for domains of operation
• Assisting with technical decisions that influence the success of projects and team objectives
• Performing a broad range of complex technical or professional work activities, in a variety of contexts
• Participating in external activities related to own specialism and show a drive to continually develop knowledge to stay relevant in the face paced IT landscape.
• Plan own work in line with general direction to meet given objectives and processes

You'll have the following skills & experience

• Service management experience within the IT industy
• Ability to take responsibility, ownership and autonomy of delegated platform operations and deliverables
• Understanding or experience of; IT infrastructure, networking, virtualisation concepts, operating systems and application layer concepts; with a speciality in one or more
• It may be useful if you have:
• Experience or knowledge of: Big Data platforms, Agile Methodologies, DevOps, Linux, Cloud Computing, ELK, SQL, Ansible, Terraform, AWS, Cisco or HP Networking
