Cyber Security Engineer (Mid) Why This is an Exciting Role: As a Cybersecurity Engineer (Mid) at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will w ork to streamline services for managing data as an asset, perform Agile software development, and provide Cloud services across a DoD agency. Your work will shape opportunities for the management of data–as–knowledge used in real–time missions and will help drive more informed and timely decisions in matters of national security. Experience and Qualifications: To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications: Required Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, or other relevant field plus 10–14 years of experience. Required Qualifications: IA certification in accordance with DoD Instruction 8570.01M required. Experience supporting the design, development, and implementation of solutions that meet network and system security requirements and performing vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems, networks, and applications. Able to support the implementation of required network security to properly safeguard all computer systems, network, and data in accordance with current policies and regulations. Experience assessing the security risks of IT systems, network, and software applications and documenting them in formal security and risk assessments and supporting artifacts associated with customer processes. Capable of supporting the development of cyber strategy and providing insight into all policy and technical decisions. Experience in supporting Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodial Experience in testing to validate established security requirements, recommending additional security requirements, recommending additional security requirements and safeguards, supporting the formal testing required by government accrediting authorities, and preparing System Security Plans. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Pre–Start is required. This position requires clearing a background check and an enhanced Personal Conflict of Interest (PCI) requirements as a condition for employment. Desired Qualifications: Experience supporting the Missile Defense Agency mission An understanding of the Agile Software Development Processes Experience providing technical solutions to complex problems. Experience in determining technical objectives of assignments. Experience guiding the successful completion of aspects of major programs and functioning in a project leadership role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required with the ability to present complex technology into layman terms. Ability to work in a dynamic environment and non–standard hours when needed. Ability to interact frequently with senior inter–organizational personnel and external customers on significant technical matters and serve as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Telework Availability: 100% Onsite but work a 9/80 Schedule. Work Location: Huntsville, AL Summary Pay Range: Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only.
