Position Summary:

The IT Support/Network Security Analyst is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure, providing exceptional technical support to end–users, and ensuring the security of the network. This role demands a blend of technical skills in troubleshooting, system administration, and network security, with a primary focus on IT support (70%) and a secondary focus on network security (30%).

IT Support (70%) Key Responsibilities:

Provide first and second–level support for hardware, software, and network issues.

Respond to and resolve technical issues in a timely manner via phone, email, or in–person.

Document support requests, solutions, and follow–up activities in the ticketing system.

Perform routine maintenance and updates on desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.

Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

Assist in the procurement and inventory management of IT assets.

Ensure proper disposal and recycling of outdated equipment.

Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.

Network Security (30%) Key Responsibilities:

Monitor network activity for potential security breaches and vulnerabilities.

Investigate and respond to security incidents, escalating, as necessary.

Assist in the development and enforcement of network security policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.

Manage and maintain firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.

Perform regular security audits and risk assessments.

Conduct vulnerability scans and implement necessary patches and updates.

Keep abreast of emerging security threats and technologies.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.

At least 1 year of experience in network security or related functions.
