We're recruiting for a Threat Management Testing Lead who'll work within 2nd line risk and play a key role in maintaining and developing the health of Lowell's cyber and technology risks and control environment, ensuring our assets are secure.

You'll do this by developing and running a continual programme of vulnerability assessment and environmental testing in both UK and Nordic regions to assess the organisation's capability to defend, respond and (theoretically) recover from attacks. You'll also provide technical testing, validation and support for 2nd line risk assurance activities and investigations, ensuring that conclusions arising from these reviews are robust and technically sound.

Reporting to the UK Head of Cybersecurity, this role provides the opportunity to combine elements of both red and blue teams, helping to obtain a complete offensive and defensive security perspective, and to support in shaping future processes for the operations of the 2LOD cybersecurity team.

What we need from you:
  • Strong experience in a technical threat /vulnerability security leadership position.
  • Solid experience of penetration testing management and coordination experience.
  • Ability to understand the business context and technology to manage uncertainty and apply appropriate solutions in response to differential risks and need.
  • Excellent technical understanding of IT and Information Security solutions, processes, and systems.
  • Deep technical expertise in the area of cyber-attack and defence technology.
  • Experience as a Red Team Lead.
  • Offensive Security Certifications (OSCP, OSEP, OSCE, OSWE, others).
  • Defensive Security Certifications is a plus (GDAT, others).
  • Extensive experience working in a technical security position, penetration testing, information security hardening technologies and techniques, cyber-attack simulation programs or similar background.

What you'll get in return:

You'll also have lots of opportunities to make an impact on your personal development, a real opportunity to broaden your knowledge and skills in this area. At Lowell we have a big focus on helping our colleagues develop their careers and grow with us, together.

So, whatever your culture, gender identity, religion, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, or disability status, if you're ready to help us make credit work better for all, we think you'll fit right in.

Our people are our strength, so we build strong teams thriving with diverse voices, and offer benefits that can keep our people strong.

That means...
  • A competitive salary.
  • A discretionary annual bonus for a job well done.
  • 3% flexible benefits; pick additional benefits or take as cash each month. Whether this is extra holiday or dental cover there will be something for you.
  • We are committed to a hybrid working environment, where we will ask you to work in our Leeds office, which will be based in Thorpe Park. Our new purpose-built office to support collaborative working and those meaningful moments you'll only get from being in the office.
  • Free parking when you are in the office and when working from home, you'll be fully equipped with everything you'll need to be successful.
  • 28 days holiday plus public holidays with the option to purchase up to an additional 5 days.
  • Life assurance.
  • A fantastic culture with more little perks along the way including, self-development opportunities, recognition awards and on-site facilities to support the varying needs of our colleagues.
  • Wellbeing support and a programme of webinars and classes geared towards mindfulness.
