Threat Management Testing Lead

Location: Leeds, Thorpe Park, Hybrid working.

We're recruiting for a Threat Management Testing Lead who'll work within 2nd line risk and play a key role in maintaining and developing the health of Lowell's cyber and technology risks and control environment, ensuring our assets are secure.

You'll do this by developing and running a continual programme of vulnerability assessment and environmental testing in both UK and Nordic regions to assess the organisation's capability to defend, respond and (theoretically) recover from attacks. You'll also provide technical testing, validation and support for 2nd line risk assurance activities and investigations, ensuring that conclusions arising from these reviews are robust and technically sound.

Reporting to the UK Head of Cybersecurity, this role provides the opportunity to combine elements of both red and blue teams, helping to obtain a complete offensive and defensive security perspective, and to support in shaping future processes for the operations of the 2LOD cybersecurity team.

What we need from you:
  • Strong experience in a technical threat /vulnerability security leadership position.
  • Solid experience of penetration testing management and coordination experience.
  • Ability to understand the business context and technology to manage uncertainty and apply appropriate solutions in response to differential risks and need.
  • Excellent technical understanding of IT and Information Security solutions, processes, and systems.
  • Deep technical expertise in the area of cyber-attack and defence technology.
  • Experience as a Red Team Lead.
  • Offensive Security Certifications (OSCP, OSEP, OSCE, OSWE, others).
  • Defensive Security Certifications is a plus (GDAT, others).
  • Extensive experience working in a technical security position, penetration testing, information security hardening technologies and techniques, cyber-attack simulation programs or similar background.
