Excellent benefits package including Contributory Pension, 2.5% Golden Hello payment on commencement of employment and a £2,000 annual retention bonus (pro-rata for part time employees), subject to maintaining clearance requirements.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Compliance and Risk Manager to join our friendly team working on our contract based in Cheltenham. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm.

Reporting to the Health, Safety & Compliance Manager, you will be working within the Compliance team on a large PFI contract, you will oversee all elements of Compliance, with particular focus on Hard services. You will also work with operational teams to drive remedial actions and improvements in response to any compliance shortfalls.

  • To implement and develop compliance processes and procedures (including CAFM).
  • Undertaking independent audits and reviews of compliance performance, including the identification of risks and issues.
  • Reduce risk, rectify issues and improve compliance performance.
  • Advise and support to operational teams with lifecycle and project works.
  • Advise on non-compliance and identify best practice to reduce costs and improve efficiency and performance.
  • Production compliance specifications, procedures, advice, guidance and standards related material.
  • Identify risk impacts resultant of 'project' and 'non-maintenance' activity, ensuring that mitigations are put in place to reduce exposure to risk and financial abatement.
  • Monitor performance against Service Level Tests and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Complete monthly compliance and PPM performance reports.
  • Management of actions arising from audits.
  • Undertake and report thorough investigations that identify immediate and root causes in response to incidents of non-compliance.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the customer, end user, other G4S departments and external interested parties.
  • Implement, maintain and improve business continuity plans, including arranging internal workshops.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A good understanding of health & safety legislation and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of technical compliance requirements in some areas (i.e fire, water, HVAC, electrical).
  • Experience in undertaking internal audits and inspections
  • Experience of audit & compliance.
  • Experience of risk management and mitigation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Process driven and able to suggest/implement processes or improvements.
  • Ability to work openly and collaboratively at all levels.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • IT literate.
