Job description
Our Cyber Security team is looking for a Senior Manager - in turn part of Technology & Data within Advisory, you'll span Cyber Risk, Strategy and Resilience supporting ways of stronger collaboration across those disciplines. It's expected that over time this role will specialise in specific sectors based upon demand and where work is won and being delivered.

Description of the role:
  • Initially joining Partners and Directors in sales meetings (and after 3-6 months leading on them) discussing with clients where they may require support across a number of disciplines (set out below in this job spec).
  • Driving annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth of our market leading Cyber Risk Quantification SaaS product, called Cyber Risk Insights.
  • Proposal writing / rapid turnaround of proposals tailored to clients that are compelling, concise and clearly set out KPMG offerings.
  • End-to-end management of client engagements ensuring high quality outcomes are delivered to our clients. This requires excellent organisational, management, written, and verbal skills.
  • End-to-end risk management from the proposal process in to delivery - overseeing a large portfolio and delivery of work across multiple industry sectors.
  • Working with Partners and Directors on the shape and growth of our specialist teams, heavily involved in 3 year business planning and in-year business execution.
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to junior members of staff and working collaboratively with peers. In line with KPMG values being bold in our decision-making, providing support and challenge to our delivery teams.
  • Engaging with non-client facing but strategically important initiatives in the firm as a leader in the business - including but not limited to support of Corporate Responsibility initiatives and the teams support of Inclusion, diversity and equity in multiple forms.
Role Dimensions:

Leadership & Management:
The role will take on Performance Management of up to 5 junior members of staff, likely a maximum of 2 in the first year. The role doesn't have a requirement to manage a capability team, instead the focus is on building linkages across multiple delivery teams (for example from Cyber Risk Quantification in to Cyber Resilience).
Stakeholder Interaction & challenges:
The role will include a combination of meetings from weekly to quarterly with a number of Partners and Directors covering account and delivery prioritisation and team structure and development.
Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance:
The role will sit in the Cyber Security team that is in turn part of Technology & Data within Advisory. In Cyber it is to span Cyber Risk, Strategy and Resilience supporting ways of stronger collaboration across those disciplines. The opportunities and work in these teams cover multiple industry sectors. It's expected that over time this role will specialise in specific sectors based upon demand and where work is won and being delivered.

The Person:

Essential experience
  • Broad understanding of Cyber Risk (including Cyber Risk Quantification), Strategy and Resilience disciplines.
  • Understanding of current and future regulatory requirements that are driving client focus and future requirements.
  • Excellent written skills that can be applied to proposal or sales material AND to written reports (our deliverables) to clients.
  • Excellent presentation skills - the ability to present in the room or virtually both internally and with clients that could be in a sales context, delivering findings or presenting content as part of learning.
