You'll be helping us leverage the power of our data to understand our customers more deeply and give them new digital baking services before they know they want them.
You'll be developing, executing, and supervising the programmes and policies that control, protect, deliver, and enhance the value of data and information assets. You'll help others understand the benefits of Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) through scientific methods, processes, algorithms, and systems. By identifying new opportunities and providing expertise to support delivery of complex analytics use cases you'll be adding value and contributing to the growth of HSBC. You'll demonstrate this through prototyping, experimentation, development, and implementation of various analytical techniques using tools such as SQL, Python, Spark, and R.
The organisational excellence team has cross functional responsibilities focusing on the smooth running of the GO&A Technology department and works collaboratively with the GO&A Technology ExCo, business partners (i.e., HR, CCO) and stakeholders across technology and the business. The team's core responsibilities include departmental governance, communications, people and culture, organisational change management and reporting that provides an overarching view of the GO&A department. Achieving these goals and aligning to our GO&A Technology purpose to increase efficiency, remove blockers, and enable GO&A Technology to successfully meet departmental objectives.

In this role you will:
• Implement a process driven governance model GO&A Technology
• Manage governance model and co-ordinate across stakeholders; both internal and external:
• Lead Oversight of all GO&A Technology departmental forums requiring GO&A Technology Exco decision making and quorum, including Exco leadership governance activities
• Manage the end-to-end process for all Exco governance requirements required for GO&A Technology submissions including agenda planning, review cycles, paper submissions and management of follow-on actions.
• Plan GO&A Technology forums and actions closure in-line with governance sequence
• Continuous Improvement: Lead the continuing development, implementation, and improvement of governance processes across GO&A Tech and the wider Governance estate at HSBC
• Outstanding leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels.
• Exceptional relationship management, resilience and influencing skills with experience in team building and managing a wide range of projects, across multiple workstream teams and stakeholders of different levels, cultures, and across Global, Regional and Country operating models
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• Establishing / operating effective Governance and Control processes and adapting them to the size and shape of the function you operate in
• Capability to organise and prioritise effectively to manage diverse activities globally under tight deadlines and close executive management scrutiny.
• Direct communication and strong stakeholder management with colleagues, business and support partners and other key senior leaders
• Experience of operating in a fast-paced environment and staying focused on strategic objectives.
• Ability to drive change forward with pace by facilitating decision-making and managing realistic expectations
• Demonstrated skill to quickly grasp complex processes and concepts that are refined and simplified for implementation
• Ability to articulate or translate complex information in a clear, meaningful and structured way to suit audience
• A delivery-focused, strategic and forward looking individual with governance experience
• A strong collaborative team player, able to work well with other extended leadership team members, including Heads of departments, team leads and regional management
This role is based in Sheffield.
