Responsibilities
- Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the 7IM group's data, systems, and networks, ensuring sure that the networks are protected from malware and viruses, identifying areas that might be under threat and areas where security can be improved.
- Troubleshooting security and network problems.
- Responding to all system and/or network security breaches, investigating and implementing solid plans of incident response, learning from past shortcomings to create ever more robust security protocols.
- Ensuring that the 7IM group's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls.
- Ensure the 7IM group has the appropriate external cyber accreditation, maintaining any current initiatives and suggest improvements.
- Conducting scans to identify any vulnerabilities in the network and system, creating resolution plans for any resulting issues.
- Routinely conduct penetration testing, managing the timely resolution of all results and communicating the progress to key stakeholders.
- Regular administrative tasks, reporting, and communication with the relevant departments in the 7IM group, including Cyber committee attendance and participation, reporting of relevant management information.
- Participation in the change management process, analysing changing security requirements across the whole lifecycle of a product, and make sure these are met at every stage.
- Lead colleague engagement in cyber through user training, appropriate regular cyber testing, and conduct cyber scenario tests.
- Stay on top of industry standards and developments, apply these in a considered manner within the 7IM group.
- Work closely with other members of the team to define and implement the infrastructure strategy, aligning to the business strategy and contribute to the overall goals of the business through development, improvement & support.
- Maintain and improve internal cyber security policies for the organisation, updating where relevant and/or necessary.
- Third-line support of the IT cyber infrastructure. First and second line support will be a requirement at busy times and as cover for colleague holiday and absence.
- Assist with the completion of regular disaster recovery testing of IT infrastructure, configuring cyber specific components of the designed disaster recovery plan.
- Vendor management for all cyber related vendors, advise on cyber requirements for other 7IM vendors as required.
- Reports to the Head of IT Infrastructure, immediately escalating outages, major delays and other serious issues.
- Support 7IM's VPVPs and complete all necessary compliance and cyber initiatives.
About You
Skills & Knowledge
- Significant experience of providing IT infrastructure and desktop support, with excellent knowledge of Networking and System Administration.
- Knowledge of operating systems, virtual machines, Network Security Control and Cloud security.
- Knowledge of industry recognised IT and support practices.
- Comprehensive functional knowledge of Business Operations and processes and related Technology.
- Awareness of blockchain security, The Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Extensive experience and underlying knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies. Including DNS, DHCP, networking, Active Directory, Exchange and virtualization.
- Excellent PC support skills including a broad knowledge of Windows 8, 10, 11. Office 365 and experience of supporting 3rd party desktop applications.
- Experience with utilisation of IIS, Microsoft System Centre products, networking devices is desirable (use of Cisco firewalls and Cisco / HP switches is an advantage).
- Ability to logically and methodically problem solve IT incidents and outages.
- Proven track record of delivering to commitments.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to make technical information easy to understand.
- Ability to identify, manage and mitigate risk.
Qualifications - Applicable Cyber security qualifications (i.e. Certified Cyber Security Foundation or Practitioner, CISMP) would be beneficial.
- Microsoft Infrastructure specific, including Azure, certifications are a distinct advantage.
