We are currently seeing a Senior Manager, Compliance to lead on regulatory (communications and legal compliance) for Giacom, globally.

This role can be based from any of our offices, located in/near: Bristol, Burnley, Newcastle, Hull or Southampton. The role is hybrid working and will require some travel to other sites.

As part of the EnterpriseRisk and Compliance Team, this role sets out the compliance requirements for the business, helps the first line to embed compliance through coaching, advice and support, and provides compliance monitoring and assurance.

This role predominately focuses on the UK, but also covers all justification in which Giacom operates. Beyond, compliance, this role supports the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework, particularly for the compliance risks., and contributes to Information Security Management System (ISMS) work.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead on the design and development of Giacom's policy framework
  • Lead on compliance advice and support for the business to help ensure regulatory and legal compliance.
  • Lead on compliance horizon scanning, giving us ample time to prepare for new compliance requirements
  • Lead on regulatory monitoring and assurance, including Total Metering and Billing Systems (TMBS) reporting, so we can manage compliance risks effectively
  • Lead on training and communications for regulatory and legal compliance globally so that we embed compliance into how we operate.
  • Supports the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) for the Compliance 'Principal Risk Categories'
  • Coordinates the writing of policies, procedures and guidance so that the rules, and how we achieve them, is clear.
  • Produce regulatory and legal compliance reporting for the Risk and Assurance Committee - to enable effective governance over compliance and give traction to desired improvements
  • Oversees the whistle blower facility and support breach investigations / reporting.
  • Line management of two Compliance Coordinators.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Experience in a comparable compliance role
  • Demonstrable experience with TMBS would be highly desirable
  • Qualifications in Compliance (e.g. ICA certificates/diplomas)
  • ISO27001 (Information Security Management System) knowledge
  • Degree qualified, or qualified by experience
  • ISO27001 Lead Auditor is desirable
