IDAM Test Lead (Contract)

Contract Type: Inside IR35

Duration: 6 months

Location: Wood St, London (Hybrid)

Our client is seeking an IDAM Test Lead to join their dynamic team. You will be working closely with multiple teams in a complex environment and are expected to hit the ground running.

The IDAM project will move the client's branch user IDAM to a new, cloud–based platform. The new platform, like the existing, will authenticate branch users on business–critical systems and integrate with systems across the business. The project requires a Test Lead to define the test strategy; plan, coordinate and lead testing across the enterprise; engage with all relevant stakeholders both within the business and third parties; and manage the defect resolution process to allow the platform to proceed to live service.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead enterprise–wide testing for the new IDAM platform for branch users.
  • Define a test strategy and plan for the IDAM Project, ensuring appropriate stakeholder engagement and governance for sign–off.
  • Define and manage a suitable defect management process.
  • Coordinate test teams from the project and across the business to ensure thorough testing of individual components and integrations of the new IDAM platform, both individually and end–to–end.
  • Plan for and lead the end–to–end, UAT, BVT, and security testing processes.
  • Understand and manage the complexity of the system.
  • Get up to speed quickly with the project s requirements.
  • Forward thinking to prioritize testing and identify opportunities.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of IDAM systems and API testing.
  • Experience in retail environments.
  • Proven experience in testing from the ground up.
  • Effective stakeholder management, maintaining confidence and trust.
  • Presentable and capable of outward–facing interactions.
  • Calm, articulate, and reassuring demeanour.
  • Technically experienced with strong soft skills.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly in complex environments.
  • Forward–thinking approach to prioritise testing and identify opportunities for improvement.
