**INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY**DepartmentThe Academic Section is responsible for managing all aspects of student and academic administration and plays a central role in delivering the University's commitment to excellence in education across the University. The development and expansion of Higher and Degree Apprenticeships forms a core component of the University's strategic growth plan.
Duties of the RoleTo lead and manage the compliance of the University's Higher and Degree Apprenticeship provision to ensure we are always audit and inspection ready.
Working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including academic departments, Admissions staff, and employers the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that robust systems and processes are in place which are compliant with the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) Apprenticeship Funding Rules, the Office for Students' External Quality Assurance processes and OFSTED.
Whilst this is a full-time post, a job share arrangement can be considered. The team currently operates a hybrid working arrangement with attendance required on campus at least one day a week.
Skills and qualifications requiredThe successful candidate will have substantial experience of working in quality assurance and compliance and will bring excellent organisational skills to the post alongside an ability to deal flexibly with a wide range of responsibilities and multiple priorities through experience developed while operating in a fast-paced environment. You will be a clear thinker, who can work independently to support the delivery of agreed objectives. Experience of apprenticeship compliance and ESFA funding rules would be beneficial.
With an ability to lead and motivate colleagues in pursuit of agreed objectives, you will possess excellent communication skills, including a high standard of written English, and be able to demonstrate good judgement and consider new ideas. Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to establish productive working relationships with a wide range of people, deliver effective and authoritative advice and work as part of a team.
