Job overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate governance individual to progress their career within a great organisation which also forms part of the wider North West London Acute Provider Collaborative. If successful you will be joining a dynamic, energetic and happy professional team who take great pride in delivering the highest standards of corporate governance to keep our patients and colleagues safe. Extensive experience of minute taking and committee secretariat is essential as the postholder will provide all aspects of secretariat for our Board and Committee meetings. Experience of policy governance will be helpful as will maintenance of Board Assurance Frameworks, application of NHS Code of Governance requirements and maintenance of statutory registers.

Main duties of the job
• To support the Director of Corporate Affairs and Head of Corporate Governance/Assistant Trust Secretary to deliver an effective and efficient corporate governance function, managing the decision-making processes and structure of the Trust Board of Directors. Assessing the Governance implications of papers put to the Board.
• To manage the secretariat function of Trust Board and its Committee meetings, forward planners and records. To produce high-level minutes in a concise manner.
• Co-ordinate and contribute to the governance framework across the organisation including the preparation of the Annual Report and NHS Code of Governance Assessments
• Provide expert advice on regulation compliance and risk across the Trust
• To manage the processes and registers for declarations of interest, hospitality and gifts, recognizing when there may be a conflict and ensuring relevant senior managers are aware.
