IT Business Consultant - Salary Circa £44,000.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Group Functions Business Consulting team, which provides support to business colleagues across the whole of Group Functions including Finance, Legal, Risk, People and more. We are looking for someone with strong problem solving and communication skills to join our team and help provide support to our colleagues in the business.

A bit about the job:
The IT Business Consultant is a technology partner that supports the IT Business Partner to develop end-to-end technology solutions supporting their aligned function/s. Specifically the IT Business Consultant will work with the relevant business areas and IT to define and shape technical and/or business solutions to:
  • Support the development of the function IT Roadmap, aligned to both the function and IT strategies.
  • Supports and takes ownership of shaping and mobilisation of projects in concept stage.
  • Support the development of Service Improvement Initiatives
  • Assess risk in the IT estate and work with other teams to develop mitigating actions.

Aviva operates a "smart working" policy meaning that we spend approximately half of our time working in an office this role is based in, York, Bristol, or Norwich.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Change Management skills : Experience shaping of early-stage projects or small change initiatives. Managing change, working across teams and processes, understanding gaps and opportunities, and recommend improvements in capability and changes in process/people and technology.
  • Problem Analysis & Solving Skills: Experience analysing issues and problems, information gathering and root cause analysis.
  • Stakeholder Management Skills: Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups and building effective relationships.
  • Collaboration skills with experience working across multiple IT teams, functions, and external suppliers.
  • Skills and knowledge in IT risk and controls

What you'll get for this role:
  • Salary circa £44,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
