We are looking for a Revenue Compliance Officer to join our Finance team based in our office in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex. As a Revenue Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of internal billing processes across all company sites, maintaining precise records, and overseeing contract adherence. You will carry out auditing, investigating discrepancies, and providing detailed reports to improve financial operations throughout the company. To be a successful candidate, you will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across sites to enhance revenue integrity and compliance.

A typical day in the life as a Revenue Compliance Officer:
  • Conduct regular audits of internal billing processes across all sites to ensure compliance with agreed pricing models.
  • Ensure that all billing processes are robust, and that bills are being always raised consistently and accurately.
  • Identify discrepancies or areas of concern and recommend corrective actions.
  • Spot any gaps in knowledge or process, and ensure necessary training is undertaken to correct this.
  • Implement checks and balances to verify the correctness of these records.
  • Investigate billing mistakes thoroughly and escalate findings to relevant Op Managers/Project Finance Managers.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in billing accuracy.
  • Ensure the delivery of new contracts aligns with the established contract and pricing models.
  • Perform financial lessons learned analysis to identify areas of improvement and efficiency.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and organised database of all contracts and relevant up to date pricing models.

What are we looking for?
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in revenue compliance, billing, or a similar role within a diverse business context.
  • Strong understanding of billing processes, document management, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in database management and financial software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation.

Desirable:
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
