What you'll be doing

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Cloudera-based big data infrastructure along with developing data consumption and processing pipelines.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, security, and performance of our data platform. The Big Data Infrastructure Administrator serves as an administration and support expert with responsibility for the design, development, automation, testing, support and administration of the Cyber Platform.

This will involve building and supporting our specialised data analytics platform. This role is DevOps and support administration. The position requires a strong background in computer architecture, software development, data management systems, distributed computing, and a solid understanding of the open-source technology ecosystem. An ideal prospect will have technical expertise, customer engagement skills, excellent communication skills, and a passion for ensuring that our data platform is as performant and healthy as can be.

Skills Needed Big Data Platform Management:
• Manage and optimize big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues within big data environments.
• Design, development and implementation of automation innovations
• Responding and providing guidance to customers of the Big Data platform
• Implement data storage solutions.
• Continually improve and automate admin tasks

Design:
• Create technical components based on evolving business requirements.
• Document detailed information about software component usage and keep them up to date

Communication:
• Ability to convey complex details clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Focus on

Quality:
• Support agile delivery processes, collaborating with dev and QA teams.
