We deliver services to several local trusts and are constantly exploring innovative methods to enhance our offerings. Currently, we are on the lookout for a skilled and enthusiastic Infrastructure Lead to become part of our highly competent technical team for 6-months. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting our continuous expansion of one of our key departments in Reading. The position, which requires on-site presence for 2 days a week, is conveniently located next to superb public transport connections or parking for £5 per day. The role involves providing both virtual and in-person assistance to our internal clients at a 3rd line level, creating and managing virtual machines, storage spaces, NSG's, Virtual Networks, Firewalls and other Azure Resources.

Your new role
You will have the autonomy to support a diverse user base, provide technical support and administration to a range of modern IT systems at a 3rd line level. You will be working on fixing a WIFI issue, renewing their office internet, decommissioning and recommissioning servers from 2012 to 2016 and a range of basic networking projects. You will also be managing the support requests from various departments via the phone and onsite, so you will be exposed to a hands-on lead infrastructure role. You will be responsible for planning and organising your day and prioritising calls and work plans to ensure the urgent requests are met in a timely and efficient manner. You will be self-managed and be responsible for supporting clients virtually, fixing varying IT issues both small and complex, from printer issues, laptop rebuilding to the management of AD domain and servers.

What you'll need to succeed
Your proficiency with Windows server platforms, including comprehensive management of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Radius, and Certificate Authority, is essential for your success. Your background in physical networking infrastructure and a proven history of managing Firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, and multi-site environments will be invaluable. Additionally, your expertise in Microsoft's administrative platforms-Office365, Exchange, Intune, and Defender-paired with a keen interest in Cybersecurity, a solid grasp of security protocols, and adherence to security policies, will serve you well. Your commitment to ITIL principles and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement will be advantageous as you undertake technical projects. Strong customer service abilities and the capacity to communicate with clarity and effectiveness, both orally and in writing, are imperative.
