About the role

Morrison Water Services are currently looking to recruit a Compliance Managerto work on our Thames Water Metering & DS Lot 1 contracts in Langley, Berkshire.

The Compliance Manager will be required to work collaboratively with our Client Thames Water to deliver the Non-Household Metering (NHHM) programme of installing circa 11000 commercial meters per AMP Year and the processing of all work closures compliantly via the Data Validation Team (DVT) and any 3 rd Party Supplier.

The role requires the management & leadership of both teams to ensure compliant delivery and processing all activities on behalf of Thames Water for their commercial metering programme and management of the DVT team to ensure that all aspects of the work MWS has completed is validated and closed, compliantly for work closure and facilitates smooth payment by the client for work completed. In addition, the Compliance Manager will be required to work with 3 rd Party suppliers as specified and will be required to manage technical projects to enhance our overall performance an example - Introduction of Blicker. Both teams must be complaint against regulatory targets, deliver customer excellence and meet service level agreements. As the Compliance Manager you will be required to complete additional project work as required and manage both teams within your budget. Integral is the ability to manage our delivery to optimise our commercial objections. The role is extremely varied and requires a passion for customer excellence, service delivery and ability to build strong working relationships with our client and other 3 rd parties, built on integrity & trust

All NHHM & DVT work needs to be completed compliantly and within SLA to avoid financial fines. Compliance is specified by the Regulators, OfWAT, MOSL, Environment Agency, Highways Authorities & Consumer Council for Water.

Morrison Water Services play a key role in the Smart Metering & DS Lot 1 contracts. The main purpose of the contract is to deliver the metering & DS Lot 1 programmes for Thames Water, engaging customers in the process, and compliantly completing all activities as specified by our client Thames Water.

As Compliance Manager, your duties and responsibilities will be:
  • Ability to build strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders based on integrity & trust.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience of leading a team to deliver customer & operational excellence
  • Understanding of Water Industry Regulation and working compliantly within a regulated industry
  • Manage customer complaints and escalations, as required to the satisfaction of the customer and our client TW
  • Leads by example and ensures all H&S criteria is met and maintained
  • Recruitment on behalf of Departments
  • Ability to demonstrate and maintain engagement within your departments
  • Experience of leading and managing hybrid & remote workers
  • Drives productivity within your departments to achieve targets and goals as specified by our client
  • Sound financial management and ability to manage department within cost restraints
  • Proactive problem solving who will review processes & procedures and streamline to optimise performance and overall productivity
  • Strong project manager who can take on additional responsibilities as required
  • Passionate individual who takes responsibility and ownership to maintain our contract with our client TW

The Key Requirements
  • Ability to negotiate and manage stakeholders
  • Proven IT skills & ability to learn systems required to manage NHHM Department
  • Strong analytical capability & ability to create performance reporting
  • Knowledge of the Water Industry and working within a regulated industry
  • Ability to manage budget and cost centre
  • Passionate about customer experience and operational delivery
  • Self-motivated individual with a passion for leadership
  • Knowledge of Thames Water systems and essential standards are desirable but not essential
  • Ability to meet deadlines set
  • Experience and knowledge of the Water Industry, specifically potable water mains renovations are desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and people management skills
  • Document control experience is desirable
  • Experience of understanding client requirements

Additional Information:

Average 45 hours a week, Monday-Friday hours 0730 to 1700. Overtime at agreed rate.
