An overview of the role

In a world of globalisation and constant innovation organisations are creating, consuming, and transforming unprecedented volumes of data. We endeavour to work alongside our clients to extract and leverage key insights driven by our Data & AI Architecture and Analytics expertise and capabilities.
It's an exciting time to join our Data & AI Architecture Team as we grow together to keep up with client demand and launch offerings to the market. In your role, you will partner with our clients to deliver outcomes through the implementation of cutting-edge data architecture methods.

As a consultant in the business, you'll help set the direction, driving forward the business, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team.

Key expectations from this role include:
  • You will support the delivery of our Data & AI Platform/Architecture projects and, working closely with your colleagues, ensure Client expectations are met at all stages.
  • You will continue to develop new skills in the fields of Data & AI Platform/Architecture, with support from your colleagues, to ensure that current methods are used where appropriate.
  • You will support the development on internal initiatives related to the fields of Data & AI Platform/Architecture, to ensure capability growth as well as for Business Development purposes.
  • You will seek to deliver work in a structured manner, finding a balance between creativity and practicality to ensure we meet client standards efficiently within the agreed timescales.
  • You will work effectively in a team, supporting your peers in delivering at pace and meeting our own high internal standards of output and delivery.

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
  • Business Development - Contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal contribution - Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & development - Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

We'd love to meet someone with

  • Proven success in data & AI platform consulting, with a track record of delivering successful data-driven projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills, with a proven ability to help clients understand and unlock value from their data.
  • Passion for solving real-world business problems using data and data-driven approaches.
  • Good foundation in data engineering, which involve building and maintaining data pipelines for efficient data movement and transformation.
  • Knowledge of modern Data architecture Pattern including Data Lake, Datawarehouse, Data Mesh
  • Architectural and/or engineering knowledge of one or more of the following Data and AI Platforms: Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Snowflake.
  • Architectural and/or feature knowledge of one or more of the following Programming Languages/Packages: Python, Java, Scala, Spark, SQL, NoSQL databases.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
  • Experience of proposition building and delivery.
  • Certification in at least data architecture, data engineering, or data management space.
  • Currently working in a major Consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a Consulting background Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
  • Experience of proposition building and delivery.
