About the post
As Strategic Compliance Manager, you'll ensure the Council's adherence to all statutory and non-statutory landlord duties, including the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, Health & Safety and Building Safer Futures legislation.
In this role, you'll oversee the development and implementation of compliance and Health & Safety policies, ensuring they are updated with the latest legislative changes.
You'll be responsible for managing the Mechanical and Electrical contracts, focusing on performance management, contract reviews, and commercial management to ensure optimal contract outcomes. Additionally, you'll develop and implement a robust risk management strategy, conducting scenario planning and accident investigations.
As a leader, you will guide a team of compliance managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and supporting the development of compliance capabilities within the organisation.
You will also uphold the guidelines set out by the Social Housing Regulation Act 2023, demonstrating a commitment to improving standards and ensuring the safety and quality of our social housing in compliance with this critical legislation.
The ideal candidate
You will be a leader with extensive experience managing compliance and Health & Safety functions in a large organisation.
You'll possess relevant professional qualification, such as a NEBOSH National Diploma or membership of RICS.
You should have a strong knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and best practices, as well as a proven track record of delivering customer-focussed compliance services and managing complex projects.
