Improving the quality of rented accommodation across the Borough
Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent's diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.
The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.

You will manage a caseload, carrying out housing inspections, surveys and provide accurate reports after each visit. Professional development is central to the dynamics of the team and you will therefore be given training on relevant legislation regarding property licensing and any other knowledge required to the post. You will have a key role in helping to achieve the Councils vision of having high quality rented accommodation throughout the Borough.
The Person
Do you have experience in private property licensing, housing conditions inspections and health and safety (HHSRS) assessments, as well as experience in managing cases involving landlords and tenants?
Have you got the ability to work effectively both on your own and within a team?
Do you possess excellent oral and written communication skills?
