Description of role:
The Risk & Compliance Officer (RCO) plays a crucial role in ensuring that TWI adheres to legal standards, compliance requirements and internal policies. They oversee TWI's compliance programs, ethical standards, and key policies to maintain regulatory alignment within the company. Collaborating with senior executives, directors, and system owners is essential for the RCO to effectively implement controls that align with business goals.

Key Accountabilities:
- Oversee the adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Design, implement, and manage comprehensive compliance programs.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats to TWI's asset.
- Develop, implement, and monitor risk mitigation strategies to protect TWI's interests.
- Evaluate and monitor third-party relationships to ensure they do not pose significant risks.
- Develop and oversee business continuity plans.
- Collaborate with senior executives and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities & prepare regular reports for senior management and the board of directors.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards that may impact TWI, and adjust compliance programs accordingly.
Person Specification:
- Qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with 5 years senior experience.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Proactive in dealing with issues
- Able to build relationships across all levels of the organisation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
- Meet challenging deadlines, prioritise work and be accurate
- Ability to travel across the group, within the UK and Overseas.
